Hair Fiber FAQs

Hey Hey Clingy Crew!
Today we're doing a lightning round, answering all your most-asked questions about hair fibers. We understand that sometimes our fibers seem a little bit too good to be true. I know you've seen the videos of us spraying Clingy effortlessly onto our scalps and our hair loss disappears like magic! So, you want to go behind the curtain. Understand how Clingy does what Clingy does. Let's explore that....
  1. What are hair fibers?

    • There are a few types of hair fibers out there. The main two types of hair fibers are Cotton Fibers and Keratin Fibers.
    • Clingy Fibers are made with a cotton base. These tiny cotton fibers are attracted to the natural electrical charge in your hair (think of it like how magnets attract) and cling to your hair for dear life.
    • Keratin fibers are made from tiny keratin protein which attach and cover your scalp.

  2. Are hair fibers safe to use?

    • Yes, most hair fibers are made from natural ingredients and are safe to use. However, it's always recommended to check the ingredients and consult with a dermatologist if you have any concerns.
    • Clingy Fibers are 100% safe to use. They are made from just two natural, vegan and organic ingredients which are non-irritable to your scalp. The ingredients in Clingy are Moroccan Cotton & mineral pigment (like the pigment you find in your foundation).

  3. Can hair fibers cause allergies?

    • While rare, some individuals might be allergic to certain ingredients in hair fibers. If you have a cotton allergy, Clingy Fibers may not be the one for you. It's always a good idea to do a patch test before full application.

  4. How long do hair fibers last once applied?

    • Hair fibers can last 1-5 days and can even withstand light rain, sweat, and wind. However, they will wash out with shampoo.

  5. Can I style my hair after applying hair fibers?

    • Yes, you can style your hair as usual after applying hair fibers, but it's recommended to use a light touch to avoid disturbing the fibers.

  6. Do hair fibers work for all hair types and colors?

    • Hair fibers come in various shades to match most hair colors, and they work on all hair types, from straight to curly.

  7. Will hair fibers stain my clothes or bedding?

    • Hair fibers, like Clingy, should not stain if they come into contact with clothing or bedding. However, if you are using a liquid based spray this can very easily stain.

  8. Can I use hair fibers with other hair products?

    • Yes, hair fibers can be used in conjunction with other hair products, but it's recommended to apply them after styling products for the best results.

  9. How do I choose the right color for my hair?

  • Choose a shade that matches your root color. If in doubt, it's often better to go a shade darker as it blends more naturally.
  1. Do hair fibers affect hair growth?

  • No, hair fibers are a cosmetic solution and do not promote or inhibit hair growth.
  1. Can I use hair fibers on completely bald areas?

  • Hair fibers need existing hair to bond to. They may not be as effective on completely bald areas but can work on areas with thin or fine hair.
  1. How do I remove hair fibers?

  • Hair fibers can be easily removed with shampoo during your regular hair washing routine.
  1. Are hair fibers resistant to water?

  • While hair fibers can withstand light rain and sweat, they are not entirely waterproof and will wash out with shampoo.
  1. Can I use hair fibers after a hair transplant?

  • It's best to consult with your surgeon, but generally, hair fibers can be used after the transplant area has fully healed.
  1. Are there any side effects of using hair fibers?

  • Most people do not experience any side effects. However, if you notice any irritation or allergic reactions, discontinue use and consult a dermatologist.
  1. Can I use hair fibers daily?

  • Yes, hair fibers can be used daily or as needed to enhance the appearance of thickness.
  1. Do hair fibers provide a natural look?

  • When applied correctly, hair fibers blend seamlessly with your natural hair, providing a very natural appearance.
  1. How much product should I use for each application?

  • The amount varies based on the extent of thinning. Start with a small amount and add more as needed to achieve the desired fullness.
